Hunt St Pty Ltd is seeking a tech‑savvy, commercially minded Accountant to manage the full finance function for Australian SME clients. You’ll keep pristine records in Xero, deliver month‑end reporting, and provide proactive insights as part of a remote independent contractor engagement.

Responsibilities include cash flow forecasting, intercompany considerations, and compliance with Australian tax processes. This is a remote role aligned to AU business hours with flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related discipline.
• 3–5+ years accounting experience with Xero and Australian practices.
• Experience supporting Australian businesses and BAS/GST handling.
• Strong Excel skills and month-end reporting experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage full finance function for a portfolio of Australian SME clients using Xero.
• Lead month-end close, prepare P&L and Balance Sheet reports.
• Build rolling cash flow forecasts and provide business insights.
• Ensure tax compliance including BAS/IAS and payroll considerations.
