Job summary

TELUS Digital AI Data Solutions is seeking an AI Speech & Audio Specialist to join its global community of contributors. You will evaluate, refine, and create high-quality speech datasets for ASR, TTS, and voice AI projects, applying expertise in linguistics, phonetics, and audio engineering.

You will perform audio editing, quality assessments, and linguistic reviews, contributing to culturally relevant and natural-sounding voice experiences across languages and domains.

Qualifications

• Must Speak Tagalog at native level and English at professional level.
• Assessment and identity verification will be completed after application.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in audio/speech fields or related experience.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI-generated speech (TTS) for naturalness and pronunciation accuracy.
• Review ASR outputs for transcription errors and linguistic nuances.
• Perform professional audio editing: segmentation, trimming, noise reduction, and quality enhancement.
• Analyze recordings with waveform/spectrogram tools to identify quality issues.
• Support creation and validation of high-quality speech datasets for AI model training.
• Review voice recordings for clarity, articulation, and technical quality.
• Conduct audio quality checks: loudness, noise, clipping, and export specs.
• Support voice AI projects including TTS, ASR, and voice generation evaluation.
• Apply phonetics/linguistics expertise to improve AI voice experiences.
