Job summary

SpaceXAI is seeking a Team Lead for Human Data Operations to guide a talented group of AI Tutors. You will set data quality standards, review work, and drive processes as we scale.

You will work hands-on with labeling, evaluation, and collaboration with Human Data Managers and Engineering to translate model needs into actionable labeling strategies, while fostering a high-performance culture.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in data labeling, AI training, or similar operations.
• Bachelor’s degree, or 4+ years of professional experience.
• Familiar with Notion, Axiom, JIRA, Linear, or equivalents.
• Basic understanding of AI/ML concepts and data quality impact.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end quality and delivery for assigned data projects.
• Lead and coach a team of AI Tutors with performance reviews.
• Oversee labeling and reviewing tasks to maintain high standards.
• Ensure guideline adherence, taxonomy management, and QA.
• Drive efficiency by removing bottlenecks and improving processes.
• Develop training materials, tasks, and certification benchmarks.
• Collaborate with Human Data Managers and Engineering on labeling strategies.
• Coach talent and report project status, risks, and results.
• Act as the voice of tutors and foster cross-team collaboration.
