Job summary

SpaceXAI is seeking a hands-on leader to guide a team of AI Tutors responsible for producing high-quality training data and evaluations for our models. You will set standards for data quality, review domain work, and drive process improvements as we scale.

This role blends management with direct labeling work and close collaboration with data managers and engineers. The ideal candidate has experience in data operations, strong communication, and a track record of improving data processes in

Qualifications

• 6 months+ hands-on experience in data labeling, annotation, AI training/evaluation, content quality, or similar operational domains.
• Understanding of AI and ML concepts and impact of high-quality data on model performance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or 4+ years applicable experience in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of AI Tutors, delivering high-quality training data and evaluations.
• Set data quality standards and ensure accuracy and consistency across projects.
• Review work in the domain and manage labeling strategies with clear guidelines.
• Coach and performance-manage team, conduct reviews, and drive process improvements.
• Collaborate with Human Data Managers and Engineering to translate model needs into labeling requirements.
• Document outcomes and report status, risks, and results.
