Job summary

STAFFVIRTUAL is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our remote finance team. You will manage payables, ensure timely payments, and maintain vendor relationships to support our clients' operations.

Ideal candidates have at least 3 years in accounts payable or related accounting, strong Excel skills, and experience with accounting software. This is a full-time remote role with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Process and review invoices, purchase orders, and payment requests.
• Verify accuracy of invoices and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare and process payments to vendors, including checks, ACH, and wire transfers.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all payables and payments.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve issues or discrepancies.
• Communicate with vendors to resolve payment inquiries in a timely manner.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Assist with month-end closing and audits.
• Collaborate with team to improve AP processes.
• Other duties as assigned by the Accounting Manager.
