Job summary

MCI is hiring an Accounting Manager to oversee daily accounting operations and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting. This fully remote leadership role suits a hands-on professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and will partner with cross-functional teams to drive insights for business decisions.

Responsibilities include leading the general ledger, month-end close, and audits, while strengthening internal controls.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Supervisory or management experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and month-end close.
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems and advanced Excel.
• CPA (or equivalent) is an advantage but not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage general ledger activities, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial records.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team.
• Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Prepare and review financial reports, reconciliations, and variance analyses.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls.
• Collaborate with FP&A and operational teams on financial initiatives and reporting.
