Job summary

San Miguel Global Power seeks a Reliability Standards & Services Analyst to optimize Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) O&M. You will investigate downtime drivers and penalties, and drive reliability improvements across operations and maintenance.

Responsibilities include monitoring performance, conducting audits, and supporting compliance programs, while collaborating with Technical, O&M, Projects, and Asset Management teams to deliver measurable efficiency gains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years in power plant operations, industrial processes, or energy utilities.
• Solid background in reliability standards and services within energy/utilities.
• Proficient in MS Office and capable of generating technical reports/presentations.
• Strong analytical skills; able to interpret data.
• Working knowledge/exposure to Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) or other power generation tech.
• Familiar with ISO standards related to quality, safety, or reliability management.
• Lean Six Sigma certification is an advantage.

The Reliability Standards & Services Analyst plays a vital role in the optimization of Batter Energy Storage System (BESS) operations and maintenance (O&M). This position is responsible for investigation and analysis of major and re-occurring issues in operations and maintenance that greatly contributed to the downtime of equipment and monetary penalties. This will help to improve the reliability and efficiency of the operations and maintenance of BESS.

This position is responsible for monitoring system performance, process audits, compliance programs, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. It requires strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including Technical, O&M, Project & Business Development and Contracts and Asset Management.

Job Qualifications:

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other related engineering courses.
• With at least 3 years of relevant work experience in power plant operations, industrial processes, or energy utilities.
• Has solid background or experience in reliability standards and services within the energy or utilities sector.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and capable of generating technical reports and presentations.
• Strong analytical skills; able to interpret operational, statistical, and graphical data.
• With working knowledge or exposure to Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) or other power generation technologies.
• Familiar with ISO standards related to quality, safety, or reliability management.
• Lean Six Sigma certification will be an advantage.
