Job summary

Allegro MicroSystems is seeking an Equipment Preventive Maintenance (PM) Engineer to ensure maximum availability and reliability of all equipment in the Reliability Laboratory. You will lead both hands-on maintenance technicians and strategic asset care programs for predictive and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and support timely product releases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronics Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 3–5+ years of direct experience in equipment engineering, preventive maintenance, or reliability laboratory operations within a semiconductor or high‑tech manufacturing facility.
• Strong hands‑on proficiency in diagnosing complex electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, thermal, and automated control systems (including PLCs, environmental chambers, and test equipment).
• Solid background in PM schedules, condition monitoring, and problem‑solving frameworks (8D, DMAIC, Fishbone, 5-Why).
• Familiarity with calibration standards and compliance under IATF 16949 or ISO/IEC 17025.
• Leadership to supervise and mentor technicians and interface with global teams.

Responsibilities

• Architect, schedule, and execute comprehensive PM programs for all reliability test chambers, testers, and lab apparatus.
• Lead root‑cause failure investigations and rapid troubleshooting to resolve complex electromechanical breakdowns and implement CAPA.
• Oversee and mentor laboratory technicians performing equipment repairs, calibrations, and maintenance tasks; define training pathways.
• Maintain 100% calibration compliance across all laboratory assets and coordinate calibration services.
• Lead installation, qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ) activities for new lab systems and release validated tools to production testing.
• Manage asset lifecycle, spare parts strategy, and capital investment recommendations.
• Coordinate OEM service agreements and ensure safety and EMS compliance.
