Job summary

Allegro MicroSystems is seeking an Equipment Preventive Maintenance Engineer to own and optimize PM programs for reliability test chambers, testers, and lab apparatus in our Reliability Laboratory. You will lead a team of technicians, drive CAPA actions, and ensure 100% calibration compliance with IATF 16949 and ISO standards.

You will also guide installation, IQ/OQ/PQ validation for new lab systems, manage asset lifecycle and spare parts, and collaborate with global reliability and supplier

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or Mechatronics engineering.
• 3–5+ years of direct experience in equipment engineering, preventive maintenance, or reliability laboratory operations within semiconductor/high-tech manufacturing.
• Hands-on proficiency with diagnosing electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, thermal, and automated control systems (PLCs, environmental chambers, test equipment).
• Solid background in PM schedules, condition monitoring, and structured problem-solving (8D, DMAIC, Fishbone, 5-Why).
• Familiarity with calibration standards and compliance (IATF 16949, ISO/IEC 17025).
• Leadership and collaboration with global teams and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Own Preventive & Predictive Maintenance programs for lab equipment.
• Lead root-cause failure investigations and implement CAPA actions.
• Oversee and mentor laboratory technicians, defining training paths.
• Ensure calibration compliance and audit-ready records for audits.
• Lead IQ/OQ/PQ activities for newly commissioned lab systems.
• Manage asset lifecycle, spare parts strategy, and capital investment recommendations.
• Coordinate with OEMs and vendors to align maintenance windows with milestones.
