Job summary

VITRO, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with 4–6 years of experience to support data center operation, design and expansion projects in Makati. The role involves creating electrical and mechanical designs, coordinating with suppliers, and assisting with troubleshooting to improve efficiency.

You will work with the DC Buildout Team and facilities management to ensure smooth project delivery and effective space utilization in a dynamic data center environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or registration as a Mechanical Engineer.
• 4–6 years in project design, construction or engineering roles.
• Certification in Construction Occupational Safety & Health (COSH).
• Working knowledge of electrical and mechanical design, operations, and CAD systems.
• Ability to prepare drawings with CAD tools and lead renovation/space expansion projects.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, VRAY and BIM is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lay out recommended designs for electrical and mechanical systems using CAD tools.
• Coordinate with SCM, vendors and support groups on design specs and cost estimates.
• Assist in equipment troubleshooting and improve operational efficiency.
• Support DC Buildout Team and Facilities Management as needed.
• Develop building facilities designs and monitor project progress.
• Provide supervision for renovation and SO-initiated projects in coordination with facilities.

Key Task Responsibilities:

• Lay out recommended designs for electrical and mechanical systems using Computer-AidedDesign and Drafting (CADD) tools.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain Management (SCM), vendors, and support groups on design requirements and project cost estimates.
• Provide assistance in equipment troubleshooting and contribute to improvements in operational efficiency.
• Support the Data Center (DC) Buildout Team and Facilities Management as needed.

Data Center Operation Support, Design and Expansion on Electrical and Mechanical Engineering

• Develop recommended designs for structured cabling using Computer-Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) systems.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain Management (SCM), vendors, and support groups on design specifications and project cost estimates.
• Provide assistance with equipment troubleshooting and contribute to the improvement of operational efficiency.
• Support the Data Center (DC) Buildout Team and Facilities Management as needed.

Data Center Operation Support, Design and Expansion on Building Facilities

• Provide assistance in developing building facilities designs using Computer-Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) systems.
• Support equipment troubleshooting efforts and contribute to enhancing operational efficiency.

Data Center Engineering and Operations Project Management

• Provide assistance in developing building facilities designs using Computer-Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) systems.

• Assist the Data Center (DC) Buildout Team and Facilities Management as needed.

Additional Responsibilities

• Perform other relevant duties and responsibilities assigned by the Group/Division/Department Head to support overall objectives of the department and organization.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering/Registered Mechanical Engineer
• At least 4-6 years work experience in Project, Design and Construction or Engineering works.
• Construction Occupational Safety & Health Certification

Training & Knowledge:

• Has working knowledge in electrical & mechanical work projects, design and operations. Know how in Computer Aided Design and Drafting systems to prepare drawings.
• Can supervise renovation & SO initiated projects in coordination with the facilities team and vendors.
• Can prepare electrical and mechanical design for small DC & DR space expansion projects and office renovation.
• Knowledge in operations of electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Has working knowledge in electrical and mechanical work projects, design and operations.
• Know how in Computer Aided Design and Drafting systems to prepare drawings.
• Can monitor progress of small repair, renovation & SO initiated projects in coordination with the facilities team and vendors.
• With experience in Autocad, Revit, Sketchup, VRAY, BIM etc.
• Basic Equipment Training (Knowing Electrical, Mechanical and Life & Safety Equipment), Data Center Design, Intermediate Equipment Training (Operational functions and equipment maintenance for Electrical, Mechanical and Life & Safety Equipment).

• Can start ASAP & Willing to be assigned in Makati City.
