Job summary

Zenith Foods Corporation, a subsidiary of Jollibee Foods Corporation, seeks a Chemist to ensure product quality and perform physico-chemical tests in Calamba, Laguna.

Responsibilities include inspecting materials, rejecting lots based on inspection, supporting QC programs, and documenting observations. Fresh graduates are welcome; 1 year QA experience is advantageous. Must be a Registered Chemist with a BSc in Chemistry and able to work in shifting schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry is required.
• Registered Chemist certification is mandatory.
• Fresh graduates welcome; 1 year QA experience is an advantage.
• Knowledge of GLP, GMP, HACCP, ISO 17025 preferred.
• Ability to work in hot/cold environments and shifting schedules.

• Ensure goods produced meet established quality standards.
• Observe raw materials and finished goods for defects; perform tests and document observations.
• Accept or reject lots based on sample inspection; assist QC programs and training materials.
• Conduct physico-chemical tests for materials, in-process, and finished products.

Job description

The Chemist is responsible for:

• Ensuring that goods produced adhere to established quality standards.
• Observing and checking raw materials and finished goods for visible defects; performing various tests on samples drawn; and documenting observations.
• Accepting or rejecting lots based on sample inspection; assisting in the implementation of quality control programs; and assisting in the preparation of training manuals and quality guidelines.
• Conducting physico-chemical tests based on laboratory procedures and quality plans for raw materials, in-process products, and finished products.
• Conducting inspections and quality checks within the production plant.

Job Qualifications

• Graduate of a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry.
• Must be a Registered Chemist.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply; at least 1 year of QA experience is an advantage.
• Preferably knowledgeable in Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), GMP, HACCP, and ISO 17025.
• Must be able to work and sustain productivity in a hot/cold working environment.
• Must be amenable to working on shifting schedules in Calamba, Laguna.
