Job summary

The role requires handling method verification, validation, and development of analytical methods while ensuring timely, accurate test results. The candidate should be familiar with QC/QA processes and maintain compliance with health and safety standards in waste handling and disposal.

Qualifications

• Registered Chemist with 1–2 years of relevant experience; fresh chemists welcome.
• Theoretical and hands-on applications of classical and instrumental methods.
• Experience in laboratory analyses and operating analytical instruments such as GC, TOC, ICP, UV-Vis, FTIR.
• Ability to conduct method verification, validation, and development of analytical methods.
• Knowledge of Quality Control/Quality Assurance processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform physicochemical tests of accepted samples according to specified methods.
• Operate instrumental analysis using major instruments (ICP, GC, TOC, UV-Vis, FTIR).
• Conduct method verification, validation, and development of analytical methods.
• Aim for zero delays in submission of laboratory test results.
• Ensure compliance with current legislation in waste handling and disposal.
• Adhere to Safety and Health Management policies.

Job description

Qualifications:

• Registered Chemist with at least 1-2 years of relevant experience; fresh chemist are also welcome.

• Theoretical and hands-on applications of classical and instrumental methods and laboratory techniques.

• Preferably with skills in laboratory analyses and knowledgeable in operating analytical instruments e.g., GC, TOC, ICP, UV-Vis, FTIR.

• Knowledgeable in conducting method verification, validation, and development of analytical methods.

• Quality Control/ Quality Assurance.

• Perform basic Preventive Maintenance of available instruments.

• Creative, versatile, has the ability to work efficiently, and meet output deadlines.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform the required physicochemical tests of accepted samples according to specified methods and procedures.

• Operate and perform instrumental analysis using the major instruments eg. ICP, GC, TOC, UV-Vis, and FTIR.

• Conduct method verification, validation, and development of analytical methods.
