Job summary

Community Health Resources, Inc. (CHR) is seeking a Recovery Support Specialist for the MH Emergency Department. The role requires traveling between hospitals and delivering recovery-oriented care to individuals in ED settings.

You will collaborate with treatment teams, conduct assessments, support goal setting, and provide crisis intervention as needed. A lived-experience background is highly valued, with certification required within six months.

Qualifications

• Lived experience recovering from mental health or substance use conditions required.
• 2+ years working with the identified populations; RSS preferred.
• Certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire; valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Assists clients in identifying and advocating recovery goals.
• Uses program models and motivational interventions to support recovery.
• Conducts program assessments and screens.
• Creates individualized, person-centered treatment plans.
• Provides skills teaching and crisis intervention as needed.
• Maintains documentation compliant with standards.
• Transports clients as required.
• Collaborates with supports and treatment teams.
