Qualifications

About the role

Scriberunner Philippines Inc. is seeking a dedicated RCM Specialist to join our growing healthcare team in Binan City, Laguna. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in optimising revenue cycle management processes for our healthcare clients. As an RCM Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and improving the financial performance of healthcare organisations by ensuring efficient billing, collections, and compliance throughout the revenue cycle. This role is integral to supporting healthcare providers in maximising their revenue whilst maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the complete revenue cycle process, including patient registration, insurance verification, coding, billing, and collections
• Review and audit medical records and billing documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with healthcare regulations and coding standards
• Identify and resolve billing discrepancies, claim denials, and payment posting errors
• Analyse revenue cycle metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
• Communicate with healthcare providers, billing departments, and insurance companies to resolve outstanding issues and disputes
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations, coding guidelines, and other relevant healthcare legislation
• Develop and maintain documentation, procedures, and training materials for revenue cycle processes
• Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on unpaid claims to maximise cash flow
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency
• Prepare reports and present findings to management on revenue cycle performance and recommendations

What we're looking for

• Proven experience of 2+ years in revenue cycle management, medical billing, healthcare finance, or related healthcare administration roles
• Strong knowledge of medical coding standards (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS) and billing processes
• Familiarity with healthcare compliance requirements, including HIPAA, CMS guidelines, and insurance regulations
• Experience with revenue cycle management software and electronic health record (EHR) systems
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and healthcare management information systems
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to work effectively with diverse teams
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities whilst maintaining accuracy and quality standards
• Knowledge of different insurance plans, coding practices, and claim submission processes
• Relevant certification such as Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Revenue Cycle Specialist (CRCS), or equivalent is preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Health Administration, Healthcare Management, Finance, or related field is advantageous
