Job summary

San Miguel Corporation is seeking a Furnace Operations Engineer to manage furnace processes in the glass manufacturing line. The role focuses on ensuring a steady supply of quality materials, maintaining batch accuracy, and coordinating with shift engineers to keep the furnace running smoothly.

The ideal candidate should be licensed Electrical or Chemical Engineer, with a background in manufacturing and maintenance planning, and a readiness to handle technical reports and furnace upkeep.

Qualifications

Job description

Responsible for the implementation of management and technical functions of the Furnace Operations with the following major activities:

• Ensures sufficient continuous supply of quality raw materials for the batch preparation and mixing.
• Ensures accuracy and consistency in batch preparation in order to attain specified requirements and avoid problems due to glass composition failure.
• Coordinates with shift engineers in the efficient operation of the glass furnace in providing good quality glass for glass forming operations.
• Assumes overall responsibility of the maintenance of the equipment in order to sustain its integrity throughout its operation.
• Undertakes other operations activities and studies like glass color changes, batch composition, technical reports, and furnace repair and maintenance.

Preferrably a Licensed Electrical Engineer or a Licensed Chemical Engineer.
