Job summary

ewi Recruitment seeks an experienced Rail Cost Control & Estimation Expert for a major metro infrastructure project in Manila, Philippines. The role covers cost management, estimating and commercial support across build-only contracts with an international project team.

You will review estimates, prepare BOQs and cost baselines, assist in tender processes, and manage payments, variations and cash flow. Strong Excel and Primavera P6 skills are essential.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Cost Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Strong experience in cost estimation and cost control on major infrastructure or construction projects.
• Experience with Bills of Quantities, Cost Breakdown Structures, Budget and tender estimates.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and familiarity with Primavera P6 or MS Project.

Responsibilities

• Managing and monitoring costs associated with build-only construction contracts.
• Reviewing cost and quantity estimates prepared from detailed drawings and specifications.
• Supporting the preparation of Bills of Quantities, cost breakdown structures, budgets and tender estimates.
• Assisting the project authority with invitations to bid, bid evaluations and the contract award process.
• Reviewing contractor payment applications, variation orders and cost submissions.
• Undertaking quantity take-offs, rate analysis, cost forecasting and cash-flow monitoring.
• Preparing clear and accurate cost reports for the project management team.
