Job summary

Concentrix Philippines is seeking a Radiation Safety Officer to lead the facility's Radiation Protection and Safety Program, ensuring compliance with PNRI and related regulations.

You will oversee radiation safety processes, dosimetry records, equipment calibration, and staff training, while coordinating with Radiologists, Medical Physicists, and regulatory bodies to maintain a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology, Medical Physics, Physics, or other relevant field.
• PRC License as a Registered Radiologic Technologist (RRT) or other applicable professional license, where required
• Radiation Protection/Radiation Safety training
• Preferably at least 2 years of relevant work experience in radiology or related healthcare environment
• Knowledgeable in radiation protection principles and regulatory requirements
• Familiarity with PNRI and government regulatory requirements
• Knowledge of dosimetry, radiation monitoring, and safety documentation
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email and reporting tools
• Strong organizational and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently and in teams
• Willingness to perform duties per radiation safety standards

Responsibilities

• Ensures radiation safety within the facility by implementing the Radiation Protection and Safety Program and ensuring compliance with applicable standards.
• Ensures availability and proper use of radiation protection devices and equipment (lead aprons, dosimeters, etc).
• Communicates and coordinates with radiation workers and concerned personnel on safety procedures and hazards.
• Conducts regular radiation safety inspections and workplace monitoring to identify hazards and implement controls.
• Monitors occupational exposure by overseeing dosimeter use, reviewing results, and maintaining records.
• Enforces radiation protection principles to minimize exposure to patients, workers, and the public.
• Ensures safe operation of radiation-producing equipment and work areas per procedures and regulations.
• Coordinates and monitors survey, testing, calibration, and QA for equipment and monitoring instruments.
• Maintains inventory and records of safety supplies and equipment.
• Prepares and maintains radiation safety documentation and regulatory records.
• Assists in regulatory submissions related to radiation safety with PNRI and others.
• Conducts radiation safety orientation and training for workers and relevant personnel.
• Investigates incidents and recommends corrective actions.
• Coordinates with management, radiologists, technologists, and regulators on safety matters.
• Assists during inspections, audits, and compliance assessments.
• Develops emergency procedures for radiation-related incidents.
