Job summary

Level Up Talent Solutions is hiring an R&D Officer / Product Development Officer in Manila, Philippines. The role supports pre-operational development for a new food ingredient project, handling samples, prototypes, and bench-scale to pilot trials.

Candidates should have 5+ years in food R&D, QA, and lab work, with GMP and sanitation knowledge. The position emphasizes meticulous documentation, organized trial records, and collaboration with the R&D and Feasibility Manager to drive pilot

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, Agriculture, Culinary Science or closely related field
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in food F&D; product development, QA, lab work, ingredient handling, or pilot trial support
• Experience with puree processing, IQF handling, frozen ingredients, and related supply chains
• Knowledge of food chemistry, ingredient functionality, pH, Brix, moisture, water activity, texture, and shelf-life indicators
• Familiarity with GMP, sanitation, lab safety, and lab organization
• Experience maintaining retained samples, notebooks, trial worksheets, sensory notes, and prototype labels

Responsibilities

• Support pre-operational technical development for a new food ingredient project
• Prepare samples, prototypes, and ingredients for bench-scale and pilot trials
• Execute lab and pilot activities, record observations and results
• Maintain organized technical documentation and trial records
• Assist in evaluating product performance and ingredient functionality
• Ensure GMP, sanitation, and food safety throughout activities
• Coordinate with R&D and Feasibility Manager for pilot validation and plant start-up
• Maintain organized R&D workspace and daily lab operations
