Job summary

Central Affirmative Company, Incorporated in Manila invites an R&D Analyst to support R&D Specialists by independently performing standard analyses on samples related to the development of new products in personal care and household care. The role involves operating and maintaining instruments and reporting results.

You will collaborate on analytical projects, handle data records, and contribute to lab safety and process improvements within the R&D Lab.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years experience as an Analyst or in a laboratory environment.
• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering.
• Pharmacist, Chemist, or Chemical Engineer preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of ASEAN cGMP.
• Knowledge in Research and Development.
• Good time management.
• Ability to proficiently work with pH meter, viscometer, refractometer, hydrometer or quantitative chemistry.
• Capable of effective oral and written communication.
• Ability to learn and follow verbal instructions and written procedures with minimal oversight.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Apply rudimentary chemistry principles to samples for analysis (stability samples, initial trial formulations, etc.).
• Prepare samples and conduct routine chemical analysis daily.
• Operate analytical instruments and perform basic maintenance.
• Record, collect and review experimental data and communicate results.
• Support R&D Specialists on advanced projects and document in the R&D Analyst record book.
• Manage two to three assignments simultaneously within agreed deadlines.
• Contribute to lab process enhancements and organizational improvements.
• Support daily lab operations and corporate initiatives.
• Monitor Raw Materials shelf-life and qualifications.
• Perform work safely following company policies and procedures.
