BKL Construction Corporation is seeking a Quantity Surveyor/Estimator to coordinate with project, engineering, procurement, and subcontractor teams. You will ensure accurate quantities and cost control across MEPFS projects.
Responsibilities include taking-offs, BOQ preparation, cost estimation, vendor evaluation, and progress billing validation. On-site work required with strong Excel/AutoCAD proficiency.
The position will coordinate closely with the Project, Engineering, Procurement, and subcontractor teams to ensure accurate quantities and effective project cost control.
Prepare detailed quantity take-offs based on MEPFS plans, specifications, and actual site conditions.
Prepare and review Bill of Quantities (BOQ), material estimates, and cost estimates.
Review MEPFS drawings, shop drawings, specifications, and design revisions for quantity and cost impact.
Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations and prepare comparison sheets.
Monitor project quantities, material usage, labor costs, and subcontract costs.
Review and validate progress billings, accomplishment reports, and supporting documents.
Prepare and monitor variation orders/change orders and their corresponding cost implications.
Assist in procurement by preparing material requirements and evaluating supplier/subcontractor proposals.
Conduct site validation of completed MEPFS works.
Monitor project costs against the approved budget.
Maintain accurate records of BOQs, estimates, billings, variations, quotations, and other QS documents.
Coordinate with Project Engineers, MEPFS Engineers, Procurement, Accounting, and subcontractors regarding cost and quantity concerns.
Assist in final quantity reconciliation and preparation of final accounts.
Perform other related duties that may be assigned by management.
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related engineering field.
PRC License is an advantage, depending on the scope of the position.
Preferably with 2–5 years of experience in Quantity Surveying/Estimating, particularly MEPFS works.
Experience in construction, fit-out, commercial, residential, or building projects is preferred.
Strong knowledge of MEPFS plans, materials, specifications, and construction methods.
Proficient in MS Excel and AutoCAD.
Knowledge of PlanSwift, Bluebeam, CostX, or other QS/estimating software is an advantage.
Strong analytical, numerical, organizational, and documentation skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Able to work independently and coordinate effectively with project teams.
Willing to work on-site/project-based, as required.
