Job summary

JAYAR INC. is seeking a dedicated Mechanical Quantity Surveyor to join our team in the Philippines. The role focuses on estimating and cost control for mechanical works, including HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems, with an emphasis on accuracy and timely reporting.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of mechanical QS experience, strong Excel and estimation software skills, and solid negotiation and communication abilities to collaborate with engineers, procurement, and site staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• At least 5 years' experience in mechanical quantity surveying, estimation, and cost control.
• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, piping systems, and construction processes.
• Proficient in MS Excel and estimation software.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quantity take-offs and cost estimates for mechanical works.
• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs for HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, piping, and mechanical equipment.
• Monitor project costs, variations, and budgets.
• Evaluate subcontractor quotations, billing, and supplier proposals.
• Coordinate with project engineers, procurement teams, and site personnel.
• Prepare billing documents, variation orders, and project cost reports.
• Maintain proper documentation related to project costing and contracts.
