CHINA CONSTRUCTION FRONT GEN. DEVT. CORP. is seeking a Quantity Surveyor MPF with 2-5 years of experience in mechanical cost estimation. The role focuses on detailed takeoffs, BOMs, and collaboration with project teams to ensure accurate budgeting and tender submissions.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and the ability to read complex drawings and specs, using Planswift and Excel for precise calculations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering required.
• 2-5 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor MPF or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, plumbing, fire protection and related installs.
• Proficient at reading and interpreting architectural and mechanical drawings/specs.
• Advanced cost estimation using Planswift and Excel for complex calculations.
• Familiarity with Philippine construction codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for mechanical works (HVAC, plumbing, etc.).

Job description

Key responsibilities

1. Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for mechanical engineering works, including HVAC systems, plumbing, and related mechanical installations
2. Analyse architectural and mechanical engineering drawings and specifications to determine quantities and material requirements
3. Conduct site inspections and measurements to verify quantities and assess project conditions
4. Prepare bills of quantities (BOQ) and detailed cost breakdowns for tender submissions and project budgeting
5. Collaborate with project managers, engineers and contractors to ensure accuracy of estimates and compliance with project specifications
6. Monitor and track changes to project scope, quantities and costs throughout the construction phase
7. Prepare variations and claims documentation with supporting cost analyses
8. Maintain comprehensive project cost databases and documentation for future reference and benchmarking
9. Liaise with mechanical engineering consultants and suppliers to obtain accurate pricing and material specifications
10. Provide cost control support and progress reports to project stakeholders

What we're looking for
