is seeking a Quantity Surveyor in the Philippines to prepare quantities, estimates, and tender documents for civil projects. The role involves cost monitoring from planning through completion, cost analysis, and value engineering to optimise spend. The ideal candidate has a civil engineering background, strong numerical skills, and the ability to manage contractual matters, variations, and procurement processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required.
  • License is an advantage for the role.
  • Fresh graduate to 5 years of professional experience as a Quantity Surveyor.
  • Strong knowledge of construction cost management, contract administration, and procurement processes.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to prepare accurate bills of quantities, cost estimates, and tender documentation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Understanding of construction methodologies, building codes, and civil engineering standards.
  • Experience with construction projects in the Philippines is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate quantity and cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documentation for civil engineering projects.
  • Monitor and control project costs throughout all project phases, from planning to completion.
  • Conduct detailed cost analysis and value engineering studies to optimise project expenditure.
  • Manage contractual matters, including contract administration, variations, and claims processing.
  • Perform regular cost reconciliation and prepare financial reports for project stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure accurate cost tracking and budget adherence.
  • Conduct site inspections and measurements to verify work completion and material quantities.
  • Maintain detailed records of all project costs, variations, and contractual documentation.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement cost control measures throughout project execution.
  • Prepare progress reports and cost forecasts for senior management and clients.
