JOMARCANN GENERAL CONSTRUCTION is seeking a qualified Quantity Surveyor to oversee construction cost management, budgeting, and contract administration across multiple projects in the Philippines. The role requires strong knowledge of cost estimation, value engineering, and tender documentation, with proven ability to analyze quotations, prepare BOQs, and monitor costs to keep projects financially on track.
Office-based with site visits as needed.
Prepare cost estimates and project budgets.
Conduct feasibility studies and cost planning.
Prepare bills of quantities (BOQ) and tender documents.
Evaluate contractor quotations and bids.
Administer construction contracts and ensure compliance with contractual terms.
Monitor project costs and prepare regular financial reports.
Assess variations, claims, and change orders.
Conduct site measurements and valuations of completed work.
Prepare interim payment certificates and final accounts.
Negotiate with contractors, suppliers, and clients to achieve cost savings.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and health and safety requirements.
Identify and manage financial risks associated with construction projects.
Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Professional certification (e.g., RICS, AIQS, CIOB, or equivalent) is an advantage.
Experience in construction cost management or quantity surveying.
Strong knowledge of construction methods and materials.
Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
Proficiency in quantity surveying software (e.g., CostX, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, or MS Excel).
Knowledge of construction contracts and procurement processes.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Work is typically split between office and construction site environments.
May require travel to project sites.
Standard working hours with occasional overtime to meet project deadlines.
