Job summary

Phitopolis is seeking a software/data engineer to design, build, and deploy data-driven software solutions and ETL pipelines for researchers and quantitative traders.

You will work on data pipelines, backend services, and ETL projects, gaining exposure to financial market data used in automated trading across global exchanges. A strong emphasis on data quality and scalable systems is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience designing, building, and deploying software solutions.
• Proficiency in developing data-related software in Python.
• Keen eye on data quality to ensure correct dataset delivery.
• Knowledge on Linux, AWS, databases (document DB and RDBMS), and Docker.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and business domain.

Responsibilities

• Building and optimizing ETL environment in support of quantitative research and trading.
• Implementing quality and validation checks for data integrity.
• Collaborating with the research team and/or other users to come up with valuable datasets.
• Application deployment, development, data extraction, and support.
