Job summary

Phitopolis is seeking a software/data engineer to design, build, and deploy data-driven software solutions and ETL pipelines for researchers and quantitative traders.

You will work on data pipelines, backend services, and ETL projects, gaining exposure to financial market data used in automated trading across global exchanges. A strong emphasis on data quality and scalable systems is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience designing, building, and deploying software solutions.
• Proficiency in developing data-related software in Python.
• Keen eye on data quality to ensure correct dataset delivery.
• Knowledge on Linux, AWS, databases (document DB and RDBMS), and Docker.

Job description

In this role, you will use problem solving skills and good software engineering practices to design,develop, and deploy software solutions and data pipelines to create new data products to be used byresearchers and quantitative traders.
The team is focused on building and maintaining ETL projects, data pipelines, as well as backend services toserve different datasets.In this role, you will have exposure to financial market data and learn how it is used in automated tradingon global stock exchanges.

• Prior experience in designing, building, and deploying software solutions

• Willingness to learn new technologies and business domain

Desirable

• Strong knowledge in object-oriented concepts, data structures, and algorithms
• Hands-on experience building data pipelines and/or ETL solutions
• Existing experience working in a high performing team-based environment
