Job summary

Cixin Precision Metal Products in Metro Manila is seeking a QA/Process Engineer to monitor plating baths, perform thickness/adhesion tests, and investigate coating defects. You will manage customer complaints and corrective actions while maintaining QMS documentation.

Experience with electroplating and quality tools is essential. The role requires evaluating process capability (Cp/Cpk), supporting external audits, and driving continuous improvement in plating operations.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years experience in electroplating, surface finishing, or related metal fabrication with plating.
• Experience in Zinc, Nickel, Chrome, Copper plating; anodizing or surface coating processes; wastewater treatment.
• Ability to interpret machining drawings and apply quality tools (8D, 5Why, fishbone) with SPC/MSA/FMEA.
• Proficient in measuring tools and data recording; familiarity with CMM and precision inspection.
• Experience handling customer audits and supplier quality issues is an advantage.

• Monitor plating bath parameters and product quality
• Conduct thickness and adhesion testing
• Investigate defects (blistering, peeling, burning, uneven coating)
• Handle customer complaints and corrective actions
• Maintain QMS documentation

Practical and tool skills

1. Measuring tool operation: skillfully uses all commonly used measuring instruments in machining sites, a scale, a thousandth scale, percentage scale, height scale, pendulum gauge, angle gauge, etc. can be independently and accurately operated. Be able to operate CMM, roughness meter, roundness meter, hardness meter and other precision measuring equipment (priority), can independently complete the product precision size inspection and data recording;
2. * * Use of quality tools *: Can skillfully analyze quality issues using * * 8D, 5Why, and fishbone charts *, and will use SPC for process capability analysis, MSA for measurement system analysis, and FMEA for quality risk prediction (such as process FMEA);
3. Drawings and office software: skilled in independently interpreting machining drawings; Proficient in Excel (statistics, chart making, function operation), Word, PPT, can prepare inspection standards, quality analysis report, customer complaint handling report;
