Job summary

Metrobank in Pasay is hiring an ETL/Data Warehouse Specialist to ensure timely, reliable data for BI and analytics. You will manage ETL processes, load data from multiple source systems, and administer the migration of data objects.

Responsibilities include creating query scripts for data quality checks, maintaining look-up tables, and coordinating with source owners to improve accuracy and timeliness. Onsite work, Mon-Fri, Metropark, Pasay.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, Data Management or related field.
• At least 3 years of SQL, database scripting and QA testing experience.
• Strong analytical, data analysis and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure metadata and data warehouse alignment with production sources per business rules.
• Manage ETL processes, data loading from multiple source systems, and data object migrations.

Job Summary:

Ensure that data loaded in the DW system are timely, reliable for business intelligence and analytics. Handle/monitor the Extract, Transfer and Load (ETL) process and resolve problems/issues/errors encountered. He/She will also handle data acquisition from different source systems/units as well as enhancements of existing ETL/data extract programs. Administer the migration of data objects. Conduct data clean-up to improve accuracy and completeness of data.

Role Exposure:

• Ascertain that metadata in the data warehouse are synchronized with the production sources and transformed in accordance with the business rules governing the data acquisition.
• Ascertain that all databases are updated and useful.
• Devise query scripts for detecting and identifying possible data errors.
• Maintain various look up tables used in the transformation and conversion of data in accordance with regulatory and internal reports requirements on a regular basis.
• Conduct data cleanup/data validation routines and error-trapping procedures to further improve data quality.
• Coordinate with the source system owners regarding data acquisition; mapping of source fields; enhancement to existing ETL/data extract programs; or change in the source systems to further improve accuracy, completeness and timeliness of data.
• Prepare the necessary documents for the data acquisition/enhancement, e.g. Extract Specification document, Enhancement Request, etc.
• Participate in the testing of acquired data/enhancement and its implementation to production.
• Ensure that all acquired data/enhancement are properly documented and passed the necessary processing controls, such as validation, system/parallel test and UAT.
• Handle the migration of all procedures, tables, report definition file (RDF), control file (CTL), log file, forms/screens, etc. to production or UAT environment.
• Investigate and resolve data errors encountered during the ETL process.
• Recommend enhancements to further improve the ETL process.
• Assist the Database Administrator in maintaining the data tables and determining data retention to ensure efficient end-user access.
• Handle housekeeping of processed extract files and maintain database file server to maximize data storage space.
• Maintain and update the various hierarchies such as General Ledger, Responsibility Center, Product, etc.
• Administer and control user access to specific Data Warehouse applications.
• Provide support to end-users by monitoring database sessions.
• Handle the month-end reconciliation of general versus subsidiary ledger of selected accounts in coordination with other units of the bank.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Management, or related field
• At least 3 years of experience in SQL, database scripting, and QA testing
• Strong analytical, data analysis, and problem-solving skills
• Knowledgeable in data flows, requirements gathering, testing, and documentation
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Exposure to enterprise-wide or bank-wide projects is an advantage
• Detail-oriented and highly organized
