Job summary

Metrobank is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to ensure data quality in the data warehouse, oversee ETL processes, and enhance data accuracy for BI and analytics. You will develop SQL scripts, validate data loads, and coordinate with source systems to improve timeliness and completeness.

The role requires strong analytical skills, a data-driven mindset, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a banking environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Management, or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in SQL, database scripting, and QA testing.
• Strong analytical, data analysis, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that data loaded in the DW system are timely and reliable for BI and analytics.
• Handle ETL/ETL data extract programs and resolve issues encountered.
• Prepare documentation for data acquisition/enhancement (e.g., Extract Specification, Enhancement Request).
• Develop and run SQL scripts to detect and identify data errors; coordinate with source system owners for mappings and enhancements.
• Conduct data cleanup/validation routines to improve data quality and timeliness.
• Maintain and update metadata, lookups, and hierarchies in the data warehouse.
