Job summary

DEVTAC CRM Inc. in Tacloban is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to design and execute software testing plans, identify defects, and help ensure product quality across the development lifecycle.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or related field, at least 1 year of QA experience, solid knowledge of QA methodologies, and skills in SQL, scripting, and Agile/Scrum.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Design test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures to identify software problems and their causes
• Document software issues using a bug tracking system
• Develop standards and procedures to determine product quality and release readiness
• Report bugs or defects to software developers for correction
• Identify, analyze, and document problems with program function, output, or content
• Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, designs, schedules, or potential problems
• Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies

Quality assurance (QA) specialists develop and execute software testing plans and procedures. A QA specialist is responsible for catching, documenting, and reporting bugs and coding errors to the software development team. They are required to be adept in the development environment, database management, and component-specific software and languages.

• Design test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures to identify software problems and their causes
  
• Document software issues using a bug tracking system
  
• Develop standards and procedures to determine product quality and release readiness
  
• Report bugs or defects to software developers for correction

Requirements

Must:

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree, Computer Science/Information Technology, Engineering (Others) or equivalent.
  
• At least 1 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
  
• Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases

• Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing
