Job summary

Bounty Fresh Food, Inc. in the Philippines is seeking a Laboratory Chemist to perform chemical tests, record results, standardize reagents, and ensure quality through 5S and safety rules.

Responsibilities include calibrating instruments, maintaining equipment, developing procedures, training trainees, and upholding confidentiality of test results and specifications. The ideal candidate holds a BS in Chemistry and a valid license; experience is welcome but not required.

Qualifications

• Education : Must be a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Chemistry
• Must be a Licensed Chemist/Chemical Technician
• Experience : With or without experience
• Special Skills : Must be computer literate. Supervisory Skills, Industrious & Trustworthy.

Responsibilities

• Performs chemical tests in the laboratory on samples submitted in accordance with the standard laboratory procedures.
• Records test results and maintains quality/quantity standards by ensuring that all requirements were met.
• Prepares and standardizes chemical reagents and solutions.
• Ensures efficient laboratory equipment performance and safe working environment.
• Assists in establishing quality standards developing operations, quality, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Performs routine maintenance and minor repairs on laboratory equipment.
• Calibrates laboratory instruments needed.
• Ensures cleanliness in the laboratory by following 5S.
• Follows the safety rules for all personnel working in the laboratory.
• Validates laboratory procedures to determine the need to update the Lab Procedure Manual.
• Develops new laboratory test procedures, methods, and instrumentation by researching new alternatives; preparing proposals; developing and performing parallel testing.
• Assists in the preparation of Monthly Laboratory Cost of Analysis.
• Trains new supervisory trainees.
• Maintains confidentiality to all test procedures, test results, product specifications, clients and suppliers.
• Performs related duties as assigned.
