Job summary

The ideal candidate holds a BS Chemistry or BS Chemical Engineering (or related) and a Chemical Technician License, with experience in a lab or manufacturing setting, strong attention to detail and good documentation skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate of BS Chemistry, BS Chemical Engineering, or related course.
• Chemical Technician License is required.
• Experience in laboratory analysis, quality control, or a manufacturing environment is an advantage.
• Knowledge of chemical analysis methods, laboratory practices, and quality control procedures.
• Familiarity with laboratory instruments, equipment, reagents, and safety practices.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good analytical, organizational, documentation, and communication skills.
• Safety-conscious and committed to following established procedures.

Responsibilities

• Conduct chemical and laboratory analyses according to established procedures, standards, and required parameters
• Receiving, identifying, preparing, and analyzing samples while ensuring proper traceability
• Preparing and handling laboratory reagents, solutions, and materials
• Operating laboratory instruments and equipment properly and performing routine checks as required
• Recording, evaluating, and reporting analytical results accurately and within the required timeframe
• Reviewing test results and immediately reporting abnormal or out-of-specification results
• Maintaining complete and accurate laboratory records, worksheets, and reports
• Performing routine laboratory housekeeping and ensuring work areas are clean and organized
• Following proper chemical handling, storage, waste disposal, and laboratory safety procedures
• Reporting equipment issues, testing concerns, and other abnormalities to the immediate supervisor
• Complying with company policies, quality standards, and established laboratory procedures
