Job summary

Sta. Clara International Corp. is seeking a Civil QC Engineer to support the QA/QC Head in implementing the Project Quality Plan and Inspection and Test Plan for all civil works at the project site.

The role requires a BS Civil Engineer and at least 5 years of relevant experience, with a preference for those familiar with horizontal structures. The successful candidate will assist in preparing ITPs, method statements, and weekly civil activity reports, and will coordinate with client engineers

Qualifications

• BS Civil Engineer degree or equivalent is required.
• At least 5 years of work experience as a Quality Control Engineer.
• Experience in horizontal structures is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, codes, and standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist QA/QC Head in preparing civil ITPs and method statements, weekly reports, and other QA/QC documents.
• Assist QA/QC Head in documenting, verifying, and reporting civil activities to ensure project requirements are met.
• Review technical specs and approved drawings to ensure site implementation of civil works.
• Conduct regular inspections of construction activities to identify deviations/non-conformances early.
• Communicate quality-related improvements to the assigned area supervisor.
• Inspect work outside the project site (fabrications shops, plants) for quality control implementation.
• Perform quality receiving inspections of materials for civil activities.
• Coordinate with client engineers/inspectors during joint inspections of civil works.
• Assist in preparing civil hand-over documents and report non-conformances to QA/QC Head.
• Ensure subcontractors adhere to the Project Quality Plan and report non-compliance for corrective action.
• Monitor punch list rectification and closure before handover to the Client.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

The Civil QC Engineer is responsible for assisting the QA/QC Head in the implementation of Project Quality Plan and Inspection and Test Plan of all civil works at the project site.

Detailed Job Description:

• Assists the QA/QC Head for the preparation of civil ITP’s and method statement, weekly report on civil activities, and other civil QA/QC documents.

• Assists QA/QC Head in the QA/QC documentation, verification and reporting of civil activities to ensure compliance project requirements.
