Scope and Responsibilities
Quality Planning and Incoming Quality Control (IQC) Management
- Design, implement, and manage robust Incoming Quality Control (IQC) plans to verify incoming materials meet quality standards and specifications before production.
- Oversee the scheduling and allocation of IQC activities, ensuring that inspections are efficiently planned and resources are allocated to meet production demands.
- Regularly monitor IQC processes, providing guidance to the team and troubleshooting issues to ensure consistent quality.
- Act as the primary point of contact for resolving IQC-related issues, collaborating with production and procurement teams to address non-conformities.
- Continuously assess IQC practices, introducing improvements that enhance accuracy, efficiency, and alignment with company quality standards.
ISO Compliance and Document Control Center (DCC) Management
- Lead ISO certification and compliance initiatives within the QAQC department, ensuring adherence to industry standards and maintaining up-to-date certifications.
- Manage the Document Control Center (DCC), overseeing the creation, revision, distribution, and storage of all quality-related documents.
- Conduct regular internal audits to assess compliance with ISO and other regulatory standards, preparing for and managing external audits as needed.
- Ensure that quality policies, procedures, and documentation are updated regularly to align with ISO requirements and industry best practices.
- Conduct training sessions for the team on ISO standards and quality management protocols to ensure a thorough understanding and commitment to compliance.
Supplier Quality Management and Issue Resolution
- Address supplier-related quality concerns by providing feedback on material issues, ensuring clear and actionable communication with suppliers.
- Work closely with suppliers to implement corrective actions on identified quality issues, ensuring timely closure and documenting improvements.
- Evaluate supplier performance through periodic assessments and data analysis, collaborating with procurement to maintain high-quality supply chain standards.
- Identify and drive quality improvement projects with suppliers to resolve recurring issues and strengthen the overall quality of materials.
- Provide quality data and insights to suppliers, using performance metrics to facilitate constructive feedback and drive enhancements.
Customer Request and Feedback Management
- Serve as the primary contact for addressing customer requests and feedback related to quality, coordinating prompt and accurate responses.
- Investigate customer-reported issues, implementing corrective actions and verifying that resolutions meet customer expectations.
- Track and analyze customer feedback on product quality, identifying patterns and areas for improvement to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Prepare detailed reports and data presentations on quality metrics and improvement actions, sharing insights with customers as part of a proactive engagement strategy.
- Develop and implement preventive measures based on customer feedback to avoid recurrence of quality issues and ensure continuous product improvement..
Continuous Improvement and Quality Data Management
- Lead quality improvement projects aimed at enhancing QAQC processes, product quality, and supplier performance, fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
- Collect, analyze, and manage quality-related data to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and inform strategic decisions.
- Perform root cause analysis on recurring quality issues, implementing sustainable solutions to reduce defect rates and improve operational efficiency.
- Prepare and present comprehensive reports on quality metrics, trends, and improvement actions to management for strategic planning and decision-making.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and other departments to align on quality goals and implement effective quality control measures throughout the production lifecycle.
Other Related Tasks
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the QAQC team and ensure efficient operations.
- Assist with special projects or initiatives related to QAQC team as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or any related field
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in quality management or quality control, with a strong focus on overseeing quality assurance and control processes in a manufacturing or production environment.
- At least 3 years of experience in a managerial or supervisory role, leading teams and driving quality improvement initiatives while ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices.
- Experience with ISO 9001 or other quality management systems (QMS), including leading or coordinating internal and external audits, implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and ensuring ongoing compliance.
- Proven track record in supplier quality management, including handling material feedback, managing supplier performance, and resolving quality-related issues effectively and promptly.
- Hands-on experience with project management related to quality improvement projects, including defining project goals, resource allocation, timeline management, and successful execution.
- Experience in conducting risk assessments and implementing risk management strategies, ensuring quality risks are identified, mitigated, and controlled in all production processes.
- Strong background in data analysis and reporting, utilizing statistical tools (e.g., SPC, FMEA) to monitor quality performance, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and make data-driven decisions to improve overall quality standards.
