Job summary

Chimera Entertainment is seeking a QA Tester to join our Cebu team, collaborating with developers in Munich. You will play and break our current PC game, contributing to a polished build and supporting QA on other titles.

You will follow our QA process, manage multiple projects, and grow into technical QA beyond manual testing. Strong attention to detail and communication are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• 1.5–3 years of QA experience in a commercial/production game environment.
• Independent ownership of at least one full test cycle (plan → execution → reporting).
• Working knowledge of Git, Jira and Confluence.

Responsibilities

• Reviews requirements and specifications; flags gaps before testing starts.
• Develops and executes test plans and detailed test cases with minimal input.
• Performs smoke, regression, and exploratory testing across gameplay, functionality, compatibility, and basic performance checks.
• Verifies and validates bug fixes with the dev team.
• Manages workload across 2–3 concurrent tasks/projects under deadlines.
• Writes clear, reproducible bug reports with correct severity/priority.
• Uses Git to identify branches/builds; understands basic branch structure.
• Keeps bug-tracking system up to date with status and verification notes.
• Gives feedback on product quality within test scope.
• Escalates blocking issues to a senior/lead when needed.
• Adapts to shifting priorities within a sprint/cycle.
