Job summary

Chimera Entertainment in Cebu is seeking a QA Tester with a sharp eye for detail and a real love for games. You will join our team in Cebu, play our PC game, break it, and help us ensure polished, stable builds across releases.

You will grow into technical QA, handle 2-3 concurrent tasks, write clear bug reports, use Git, Jira, and Confluence, and contribute to QA processes. Strong written communication and ownership of a full test cycle are essential.

Qualifications

• 1.5–3 years of QA experience in a commercial game environment.
• Independent ownership of at least one full test cycle (plan → execution → reporting).
• Working knowledge of Git (branches, commits, conflict awareness).
• Proficiency with Jira or equivalent and Confluence or equivalent.
• Strong written communication for clear bug reports.
• Solid grasp of smoke, regression, and exploratory testing.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision on familiar tasks while escalating novel cases.

Responsibilities

• Reviews requirements and specifications to flag gaps before testing.
• Develops and executes test plans and detailed test cases with minimal senior input.
• Performs smoke, regression, and exploratory testing across gameplay, functionality, compatibility, and basic performance checks.
• Manages workload across 2–3 concurrent tasks/projects under set deadlines.
• Writes clear, reproducible bug reports with correct severity/priority.
• Uses Git to identify branch/build for issues and tracks them in the project.
• Contributes to bug-tracking system and keeps status up to date.
• Gives feedback on product quality within their test scope and escalates blocking issues.
• Adapts to shifting priorities within a single sprint/cycle.
