Job summary

SLI Consulting Inc. is seeking a senior engineer experienced in real-time payments and digital banking to lead complex payment integrations and platform enhancements. You will own architectural decisions, mentor teams, and drive reliability across high-volume processing environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in building and delivering solutions.

Job Mandate

• Responsible for building solutions and evolving the Engineering Practices for all engineers, improving the productivity of engineers, and bringing observability & reliability to application

• Lead project technical execution and delivery from planning through implementation, ensuring quality, scalability, and governance compliance

Duties and Responsibilities

• Working as a Core contributor with your team, writing great quality, scalable, maintainable code.
• Bring In-depth knowledge of design patterns, architecture & cloud infrastructure to the team and drive engineering quality.
• Work with multiple teams to solve complex technological problems, bring insights and drive application/platform-specificrelated strategy.
• Mentor and strengthen their specific application/platform team by improving the ability to deliver great quality of work (both functional and non-functional) and keep the high bar of the craft.
• Continuously improve code quality, product execution, and customer satisfaction.
• Review the infrastructure, security, and solution design.
• Review and tracking of the functional and non-functional requirements, test plan, test scripts, and requirements traceability matrix (RTM) for Solution Design Documents.
• Accountable to deliver the technical deliverables such as but not limited to (execution, deployment and implementation) of change.
• Review the deployment instruction guidelines. Oversee the deployment activities.
• Alignment with ITG Units (includes Servicing Units) at task level.
• Facilitate discussions on technical issue resolutions to the vendor, integrating application and platform owners, including System Integration Test (SIT) and User Acceptance Test (UAT) defect resolution.
• Managed project risks, dependencies, and stakeholder communications to ensure timely and successful delivery of critical payment initiatives.
• Own the overall (governance) for software architecture, system scalability and technical roadmap.
• Align with the project manager on the overall business outcomes for the module and delivery timelines.
• Accountable to manage the vendors involved in the project, ensuring all technical deliverables are met. Assist in selecting and ongoing management of vendors /suppliers for selected projects. Facilitates vendor contracting, payments.
