Millennium Erectors Corporation in the Philippines seeks a QA/QC Engineer with 1–3 years of experience in fire protection systems for construction projects. A BS in Mechanical Engineering and an RME license are required. You will review drawings, inspect materials, and supervise hydrostatic tests to ensure code compliance.
Role is based in Paete, Laguna, on site, with responsibilities including documentation, NCRs, and turnover packages for client inspections.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering; Registered Mechanical Engineer (RME) license required
At least 1-3 years of QA/QC experience in mechanical works, with strong focus on fire protection systems in construction
Proficient in reading fire protection drawings: sprinkler layouts, piping plans, riser diagrams, hydraulic calculations, and specifications
Familiar with fire protection equipment: sprinklers, pumps, valves, tanks, standpipes, hoses, and alarm interfaces
Skilled in hydrostatic testing, flushing, flow testing, and acceptance procedures
Willing to be assigned to Paete, Laguna
Key Responsibilities
Review fire protection design drawings, material submittals, pump/valve data sheets, and equipment for compliance before installation
Inspect all fire protection materials: pipes, fittings, hangers, sprinklers, pumps, tanks, and accessories upon delivery
Monitor installation quality: piping layout, hangers/supports, alignment, connections, and compliance with approved drawings
Witness and document hydrostatic pressure tests, piping flushing, flow tests, and pump performance tests
Verify proper installation of fire pumps, jockey pumps, controllers, tanks, valves, and standpipes per NFPA & Philippine Fire Code
Inspect sprinkler placement, clearances, spacing, and alignment with design requirements
Prepare inspection checklists, test reports, Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), punch lists, and fire protection turnover documents
Identify defects, workmanship errors, and deviations; recommend corrections and monitor rework until acceptance
Ensure all fire protection systems pass required tests and meet code standards before handover to client/fire authority inspection
