Job summary

Planate Management Group is seeking a QA/QC Engineer to design quality standards, inspect materials, equipment, processes, and products, and implement corrective actions to uphold construction quality across projects.

You must be willing to relocate to project sites. The role requires ensuring quality procedures, conducting laboratory tests, and coordinating with engineers and consultants to meet stringent standards.

Qualifications

• Licensed Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in large infrastructure projects.
• Preferably with Construction Quality Management (CQM) for Contractors certification.
• Minimum 5 years of onsite construction quality assurance and construction safety surveillance experience on a commercial or military infrastructure project.
• Demonstrated experience in pre-stressing works and quality control, and experience in different classes of concrete mix-design.

Responsibilities

• Prepare QA/QC plans for new construction and refurbishment work.
• Ensure quality procedures including time limits for inspection, sampling and testing of works.
• Oversee and manage the quality assessment of materials through laboratory tests.
• Review technical specifications and recommend standard construction specifications for works.
• Review standard test forms and evaluate test results.
• Review contractor practices and recommend remedial actions as needed.
• Coordinate with project engineers and design consultants on QA/QC procedures and timelines.
• Conduct initial survey queries on material sources to ensure value for the project.
• Perform other responsibilities as required.
