Job summary

ROTAFLEX CONSTRUCTION AND DEVELOPMENT CORP is seeking a Civil Engineer to oversee engineering projects, organize proposals, cost forecasting, scheduling, and ensure adherence to SOPs from the Operations Department.

The ideal candidate will have a Civil Engineering degree, knowledge of cost and materials estimations, manpower planning, and be proficient in MS Office and AutoCAD; willingness to be assigned in NCR or provinces.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Civil Engineering or related field.
• Knowledgeable in cost estimations, materials estimations, manpower planning and scheduling.
• Computer literate with MS Office and AutoCAD; familiar with engineering software.
• QA/QC background is a plus; PRC license is an advantage.
• Willing to be assigned in NCR or provinces.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and updates project schedules by monitoring progress and coordinating activities.
• Formulates methods to address problems to avoid delays in construction.
• Develops project objectives by reviewing proposals with the Project Manager for approval.
• Provides design and technical plans for frameworks, rebar works, cutting lists and methodologies.
• Monitors formworks preparation and reinforcement to ensure strength of structures.
• Leads inspections and ensures QA/QC compliance throughout the scope.
• Coordinates with Project Manager and In-Charge for assistance and progress checks.
• Prepares weekly QA/QC and billing-related reports as required.

GENERAL/PRIMARY PURPOSE:

The position is responsible for the completion of engineering projects by organizing, developing and determining project elements such as but not limited to project proposals, costing and forecasting, planning and scheduling of manpower and activities, monitoring project progression and implementing the standard operating procedures established by the Operations Department.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintains and updates project schedules by monitoring project progress, coordinating of activities and addressing problems that may arise during construction.

• Formulates and devises methods on how to address particular problems to avoid delays in construction projects.

• Develops project objectives by reviewing proposals and plans and deliberates with the Project Manager & Project In-Charge for approval.

• Provides design and technical plans or details regarding frameworks or rebar works (storage, fabrication and installation) cutting list and rebar methodologies.

• Monitors the preparation of formworks prior to concrete components, steel molds and reinforced concrete structures to ensure overall strength and rigidness of buildings.

• Monitors the fabrication of reinforced steel bars to ensure that it follows and adheres with the laid-out plans and drawings.

• Sets the overall foundation and erection of building structures in accordance with the established structural and architectural framework and design.

• Delegate responsibilities to subordinates according to their skill sets and experience to ensure efficiency and effectiveness for the completion of project.

• Does actual assessment and evaluation of Housing Project together with the Project In-Charge and Project Manager to monitor daily, weekly and monthly accomplishment and progress and in order to identify if there is a need for rectification.

• Prepares billing reports or statements based on the percentage of project completion and submits to Project In-charge & Project Manager for checking and approval.

• Coordinates and communicates with Project Manager and Project In-charge to provide assistance and technical support.

• Attends daily safety toolbox meeting to provide updates on projects handled and other related safety and administrative concerns.

• Maintain and control QA/QC Practices and standards and ensures project compliances with client's specifications

• Collaboration with the team including Client's technical staff for all works related to workmanship and required documentations.

• Leads the inspection prior, during and after every each of the scope of works.

• Leads in the preparation of Inspection and test plans, work methodologies, and other required documents related to Quality Assurance and Quality Controls.

• Prepares weekly QA/QC reports.

• Facilitates sub-contractor's closures and turnover in cooperation with Project Operation Heads.

• Verify the accuracy and completeness of material documentation, including certifications, test reports, and manufacturer warranties.

• Conduct thorough inspections of materials upon delivery to the site to ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and industry regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The candidate must be/have a:

• A Graduate of Civil Engineering or any related course;

• Knowledgeable in Cost & Materials Estimations, Manpower Planning & Scheduling;

• Computer Literate and familiarity with MS Office App, Auto Cad, and other software and system related to engineering;

• Background in Cost Engineering or QA/QC is a Plus;

• PRC License is an advantage;

• Willing to be assigned in NCR or Provinces
