Job summary

SBR Center Builders Inc. is seeking a skilled Civil Engineer with a minimum of 3 years' experience in structural steel works and QA/QC.

The candidate will oversee steel fabrication, inspect compliance with design specifications, and coordinate with suppliers and construction teams on delivery, installation, and testing. The role requires strong knowledge of QA/QC protocols, field coordination, and proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Excel to maintain thorough QA/QC documentation and ensure adherence

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of experience in structural steel works and QA/QC.
Ability to review structural/shop drawings and method statements.
Familiarity with NSCP, AISC, ASTM codes.
Proficient in AutoCAD and MS Excel.

Responsibilities

Supervise and inspect steel fabrication and erection activities to ensure compliance with design specifications and quality standards.
Conduct QA/QC inspections, including material verification, dimensional checks, and weld inspections.
Review and interpret structural drawings, shop drawings, and method statements.
Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, and construction teams regarding steel delivery, installation, and testing.
Prepare and maintain QA/QC documentation, including inspection reports and non-conformance reports.
Ensure all works comply with relevant codes and standards (NSCP, AISC, ASTM).
Assist in resolving site-related issues and technical concerns regarding steel structure installation.
Monitor and report progress of steel works in alignment with the project schedule.
Promote and enforce health and safety at the job site.
