Job summary

Beyond is building a dedicated QA team for a European financial services client. As QA Lead, you will own test strategy and automation for AWS-based TypeScript/Next.js solutions, hands-on leadership, and present QA status to client and delivery team.

You will mentor the QA team, drive standards, leverage AI tools, and ensure release readiness in a regulated financial context. This role rewards clear communication and proactive stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a QA Lead or Senior Test Engineer with automated testing background.
• Hands-on automation with Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress.
• Strong scripting in TypeScript/JavaScript/Node.js; Python/Go/C# a plus.
• Solid AWS experience (Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, CI/CD).
• Experience testing API-driven/web apps; strong API testing expertise.
• Experience using AI tools to improve QA productivity.
• Excellent English communication; comfortable presenting to stakeholders.
• Disciplined test planning, analysis, and execution in Agile.

Job description

We're building a dedicated QA team for a European financial services client operating in debt servicing and alternative assets (private equity). As QA Lead, you'll own the test strategy and automation approach for solutions built on AWS using TypeScript and Next.js. This is a hands-on leadership role: you'll set the quality standard, build and maintain automated test suites, and act as the QA voice with both the client and the delivery team - so confident spoken communication and the ability to present to stakeholders are essential.

Key responsibilities

• Own the QA strategy, test planning, and automation approach across the delivery
• Design, build, and maintain automated test suites (unit, integration, regression, E2E) for AWS-based TypeScript/Next.js applications
• Lead and mentor QA team members, setting standards and best practices
• Present QA progress, risks, and quality metrics to the client and stakeholders with confidence
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate test creation, coverage analysis, and defect triage
• Build and maintain API test coverage (REST/SOAP) and CI/CD-integrated test pipelines
• Collaborate closely with developers on requirements, edge cases, and release readiness
• Champion quality in a regulated financial services context

About you

• Proven experience as a QA Lead or Senior Test Engineer with a strong automated testing background
• Hands-on automation experience with tools such as Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress
• Strong scripting and coding ability (TypeScript/JavaScript/Node.js; Python, Go, or C# a plus)
• Solid AWS experience (Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, CI/CD pipelines)
• Experience testing API-driven and web applications, with strong API testing expertise
• Practical experience using AI tools to improve QA productivity and coverage
• Excellent English communication skills - especially confident, clear spoken presentation to stakeholders
• Disciplined test planning, analysis, and execution in an Agile environment
