Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 2–3 years hands-on software quality assurance experience.
• Solid grasp of SDLC, STLC and Agile/Scrum.
• Experience writing clear test cases and bug reports from requirements.
• Working knowledge of one scripting language (JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or Java).
• Experience with API testing and basic SQL.
• Familiarity with bug tracking and test management tools such as Jira.
• Experience with Git tools.
• Strong attention to detail and clear written and spoken English.
• Willing to work in Makati and able to start ASAP.

Responsibilities

• Review requirements, user stories, and designs to identify gaps and define acceptance criteria early.
• Write and maintain test plans, test cases, and test data for new features and regression suites.
• Execute manual, functional, regression, integration, smoke, and exploratory tests across web and mobile.
• Log, prioritize, and track defects with clear reproduction steps; verify fixes before release.
• Test REST APIs with Postman and validate data with basic SQL queries.
• Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups and retrospectives; provide go/no-go view before releases.
• Report on test coverage, defect trends, and release quality to the team.
• Suggest improvements to QA processes, tools, and documentation.
