Job summary

NCS Philippines is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to support the development and implementation of QA standards within projects. You will write test cases/scripts, execute functional tests, track defects, and report progress to the QA Lead and Project Manager.

You will design test cases, perform manual testing, and contribute to QA deliverables while mentoring junior QA staff. A Bachelor’s degree in IT/CS/Engineering and at least 2 years QA experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, engineering or related field.
• At least 2 years of software QA experience.
• Knowledgeable in test case creation, test design, and defect tracking.

Responsibilities

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Quality Assurance Engineer provides support in developing and implementing quality assurance standards and measures within the project. This role also writes test cases/scripts, creates and executes functional tests, tracks defects and fixes, and reports on each's progress.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Designs and writes Test Cases and Test Scripts.

• Reports to the Project Manager / QA Lead on the testing status of QA assignments.

• Effective Defect Reporting and Tracking of open defects up to closure.

• Assist in the investigation for raised defects and quality concerns.

• Provision of QA execution recommendations to project teams.

• Assists Jr QA resources on QA practices and activities

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

• Education – At Least graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or any related course.

• Related Work Experience – At Least 2 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance.

• Knowledge – Knowledgeable in the following:

• Test Cases Creation and Analysis, Test Design

• Manual Testing (black box, white box, etc.)

• Defect Reporting and Monitoring

• Creating QA deliverables such as TCCS, updating RTM

• Automated Testing is a plus.

• Skills:
