Job summary

GCash is seeking a Senior QA Leader to establish end-to-end QA strategies for the Data Tribe, ensuring robust validation of data pipelines, migrations, and reporting applications. You will provide strategic direction and coaching to Chapter QA Leads and Engineers, driving competency development and quality growth.

You will oversee data quality validation, identify data risks, and coordinate with Development, Product, and Infrastructure to resolve high-impact blockers.

Qualifications

• Hands-on with test automation and data validation.
• Experience leading QA teams and driving adoption of best practices.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps in testing.
• Familiarity with data pipelines, ETL, and reporting.
• Ability to forecast testing efforts and manage resources.

• Establish and govern end-to-end QA strategies, processes, and quality controls across the Data Tribe to ensure consistent validation of data pipelines, migrations, integrations, and reporting applications.
• Provide strategic direction, technical leadership, and continuous coaching to Chapter QA Leads and Engineers, driving competency development and technical growth.
• Oversee data quality validation efforts, proactively identifying and mitigating critical data risks, dependencies, and complex system defect patterns.
• Facilitate cross-tribe alignment and drive the escalation and resolution of high-impact quality blockers in coordination with Development, Product, and Infrastructure stakeholders.
• Forecast testing efforts, manage resource capacity against project roadmaps, and oversee vendor billings, periodic audits, and test unit utilization.
• Govern QA testing prerequisites, environments, test account provisioning, and access documentation to ensure smooth execution readiness across delivery teams.
• Monitor key QA metrics, capacity trends, and delivery performance across the Chapter to provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior management.
• Spearhead continuous improvement and QA transformation initiatives, focusing on test optimization, process standardization, and data-driven quality practices.

Desirable Skills:

• Hands-on experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Katalon, Katalon TCM, Perfetto).
• Experience in designing, implementing, or maintaining test automation frameworks and identifying opportunities for automation and test optimization.
• Proficiency in SQL, scripting, and data validation techniques for complex data testing and troubleshooting.
• Experience with data testing and data quality tools/platforms, particularly for data pipelines, migration, ETL, and reporting.
• Experience in QA process improvement, standardization, and automation across multiple teams or projects.
• Experience in QA metrics, testing effort analysis, capacity planning, and resource forecasting.
• Knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps practices and how these integrate with automated testing.
• Experience in mentoring teams and driving adoption of QA best practices across manual and automated testing.
