Job summary

Seda Centrio Hotel in Cagayan de Oro is seeking a Purchasing Officer to manage day-to-day procurement, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and compliant purchasing of goods and services for the hotel.

You will process PRs to POs, coordinate with departments and suppliers, monitor pricing, and maintain procurement records to support informed management decisions. This role provides exposure to hospitality procurement in the Philippines and opportunities to improve supplier performance.

Responsibilities

• Manage regular purchasing requirements of the hotel, including daily market list requirements of the Food & Beverage Department.
• Process purchases from Purchase Requisition (PR) to Purchase Order (PO) and delivery, ensuring timely fulfillment of requirements.
• Coordinate with requesting departments to determine appropriate order quantities and timing to ensure cost efficiency and operational continuity.
• Obtain and evaluate supplier quotations and ensure competitive and updated pricing.
• Regularly review market prices and existing supplier quotations to identify opportunities for cost savings.
• Source and evaluate suppliers in accordance with hotel policies, procedures, and Code of Conduct.
• Maintain an independent, fair, and unbiased supplier selection and sourcing process.
• Monitor all Purchase Requisitions and provide timely updates to the requesting departments regarding the status of their requirements.
• Coordinate with suppliers and concerned departments to ensure accurate, complete, and timely delivery of orders.
• Maintain proper purchasing records, supplier quotations, price comparisons, and other procurement documentation.
• Prepare purchasing reports, price analyses, and other reports required by Management to support informed decision-making.
• Identify opportunities to improve purchasing processes, supplier performance, and overall procurement efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with hotel purchasing policies, procedures, approval processes, and internal controls.
