Job summary

Microchip Technology Philippines seeks a PTC Lab Technician to calibrate and maintain ATE equipment, monitor compressors, and manage preventive maintenance schedules in the PTC Lab.

You will coordinate with IS, Network, and vendor teams to ensure lab readiness, uphold 5S, and follow lab safety, cybersecurity, and change-management requirements while supporting lab operations with first-line troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical diploma in Electronics, Electrical, Computer or related field.
• At least five years of hands-on experience with ATE or lab equipment.
• Knowledge of calibration, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair practices, and documentation.
• Basic Windows and Linux familiarity, hardware peripherals, networking concepts.
• Ability to follow procedures and communicate with engineers, IS teams, and vendors.
• On-site work in an ESD-controlled semiconductor lab.

Responsibilities

• Set up, troubleshoot, maintain, calibrate, and repair PTC Lab equipment (ATE, Thermal systems).
• Monitor compressor conditions and coordinate preventive maintenance.
• Provide first-line assessment of tester-host and software interfaces; report symptoms and impacts.
• Coordinate with IS, Network, Cybersecurity, infrastructure, and vendors; track issues to restoration.
• Support lab standards: tester library, software versions, recovery media, and configuration checks.
• Manage shipment of tools and boards, including packing and shipping docs.
• Maintain inventories of hardware, tooling, spare parts, and lab supplies; ensure 5S.
