Job summary

FEU Diliman invites applications for a Psychology Faculty member to deliver high-quality instruction in psychology courses, mentor students, and contribute to the development of the academic program. The role requires strong subject expertise, effective teaching skills, and a commitment to fostering student growth and academic excellence.

The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate psychology courses, prepare syllabi, design assessments, and participate in curriculum

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Psychology or related field is required.
• Licensed Psychologist or Psychometrician is preferred, depending on institutional requirements.
• Teaching experience in higher education is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of psychological theories, research methods, and assessment tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach Psychology and GE courses to undergraduate and graduate students.
• Familiar with LMS (Canvas) for course design and delivery.
• Develop syllabi, lesson plans, and instructional materials.
• Assess student performance via exams, projects, and research work.
• Provide academic advising, mentorship, and program development input.
• Engage in curriculum and accreditation-related activities.

Job Summary:

The Psychology Faculty member is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in psychology courses, mentoring students, and contributing to the development of the academic program. The role requires strong subject expertise, effective teaching skills, and a commitment to fostering student growth and academic excellence.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Psychology or related field (required); Doctorate is an advantage
• Licensed Psychologist or Psychometrician (preferred, depending on institutional requirements)
• Teaching experience in higher education is an advantage
• Strong knowledge of psychological theories, research methods, and assessment tools
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Experience in teaching both Psychology and General Education (GE) courses.
• Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as canvas for course design and Instructional delivery.
• Strong Background in Psychological Theories, Research Methods and Data Analysis.
• Experience in preparing instructional materials, course outcomes, learning resources aligned with institutional or CHED Standards.
• Licensed in the field of expertise/specialization
• At least 3 years teaching experience in a relevant field
• Must have relevant trainings and seminars attended for the past 5 years
• With industry experience (for Program Coordinator) is an advantage
• With strong leadership skills , Good people relation skills, and must be pro-active, meticulous, highly organized, team player, result-oriented and with strong sense of urgency and integrity
• Good in Interpersonal, speaking, writing, critical-thinking skills.
• Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in psychology (e.g., General Psychology, Abnormal Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Social Psychology)
• Prepare and update course syllabi, lesson plans, and instructional materials
• Conduct engaging lectures, discussions, and learning activities
• Assess and evaluate student performance through exams, projects, and research work
• Provide academic advising and mentorship to students
• Participate in curriculum development and program improvement initiatives
• Engage in research, publications, or professional development (if required)
• Attend faculty meetings, trainings, and institutional activities
• Ensure compliance with academic standards and accreditation requirements
• Support student activities, outreach, or extension programs
