Job summary

Polematrix Systems & Construction, Inc is seeking a Project Engineer to lead daily field implementation, electrical erection, testing, and commissioning for substation and switchyard projects. The role requires reading site plans and SLDs, ensuring safety, quality, and adherence to project plans.

Ideal candidates have BS Electrical Engineering and a valid PEE/REE license with at least 2 years of field experience in substations and switchyards, and willingness to be deployed across North Luzon

Qualifications

• BS Electrical Engineering required.
• Licensed Professional Electrical Engineer (PEE) or Registered Electrical Engineer (REE) required.
• Minimum 2 years of field implementation experience in Substation and Switchyard projects.
• Willing to be deployed to project sites across North Luzon and South Luzon.
• Ability to read/interpret site plans, single-line diagrams (SLDs), or structural blueprints.
• Knowledge of site safety protocols and equipment standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site implementation, electrical erection, testing and commissioning for substations and switchyards.
• Interpret technical drawings, conduct site inspections and ensure safety and quality compliance.
• Monitor schedules, prepare daily reports, and address delays or technical issues.
• Coordinate manpower, materials, and equipment to minimize site downtime.
• Collaborate with project managers, clients, contractors, and field crews to resolve site concerns.

About the role

The Project Engineer leads and oversees daily field implementation, electrical erection, testing, and commissioning for substation and switchyard projects across site locations, ensuring execution adheres to project plans, schedules, quality standards, and safety requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily on-site implementation, electrical erection, testing, commissioning activities, connects power plants, transmission lines, and distribution systems

• Interpret technical drawings/specs, conduct site inspections, and ensure strict safety and quality compliance

• Monitor schedules, prepare daily accomplishment reports, and resolve site delays or technical issues

• Coordinate manpower, materials, and equipment to prevent site downtime

• Work closely with project managers, clients, contractors, and field crews to resolve site concerns

Qualifications:

• BS Electrical Engineering

• Licensed PEE or REE

• Minimum 2 years of field implementation experience in Substation and Switchyard projects
