Job summary

RCBC is seeking an IT Project Manager in the Philippines to oversee IT initiatives in support of business goals. The role involves leading projects, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring timely, cost-efficient delivery in a banking environment.

The successful candidate will have a 4-year degree in IT/CS, 5+ years in application systems, and hands-on experience with Agile practices and cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, CS or related field.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in application systems design, development and maintenance.
• Experience with mainframe, midrange and microcomputer systems.
• Exposure to banking operations preferred.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and cloud-based platforms.

Responsibilities

• Manages one major project or one or more minor projects.
• Develops and manages processes (technical and business) to meet business requirements cost-efficiently within targets.
• Manages project team, defines roles and responsibilities, sets performance objectives and standards, coaching and training, monitors and evaluates performance.
• Manages communication among project stakeholders including vendors and third-party partners.
• Ensures project issues are raised and resolved at appropriate levels; keeps team informed of overall status.
• Manages business requirements by coordinating with business users to assess feasibility and effort.
• Performs project reviews to ensure quality systems are developed/maintained per established techniques and standards and MLPP compliance.
• Manages production systems by allocating resources to handle production problems and ad-hoc requirements.
• Maintains and sustains technical and business expertise on assigned domains and related technologies.
• Keeps applied technologies up-to-date with industry trends.

How will you contribute?

• Manages one major project or one or more minor projects
• Develops and manages processes (technical and business) to ensure plans are in place to meet business requirements in a cost efficient manner and within specific targets
• Manages project team, defines roles and responsibilities, sets performance objectives and standards, ensures proper coaching and training, monitors and evaluate performance
• Manages communication among the stakeholders of the project including vendors and 3rd party partners
• Ensures project issues are raised and resolved at the appropriate levels. Keeps project team informed of the overall project status
• Manages business requirements by coordinating with the business users to help assess feasibility and establish time and effort
• Performs project reviews with team to ensure quality systems are development/maintained through the use of established techniques and adherence to process standards and to the MLPP compliance laws and regulations.
• Manages production systems by ensuring appropriate resources are allocated to handle production problems and ad-hoc requirements
• Maintains and sustains technical and business expertise on assigned business domains and its associated and related technologies.
• Ensures that applied technologies are kept up-to-date with industry trends

What will make you successful?

• At least a 4 year graduate or a Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or any IT related course
• At least 5 years of responsible experience in the areas of application systems design, analysis, development and maintenance work involving mainframe, midrange, microcomputer systems
• Relevant exposure to banking operations is preferred
• Develops and manages business and technical processes to deliver project requirements.
• Handles project resources to meet project objectives.
